El Prieto Handicap 2013

20th Anniversary

The best little race in the world

Race Information

The 20th Annual El Prieto Handicap Race

Saturday May 18, 2013 - 7 AM Start

(Uphill)

BYOB - Bring Your Own Bib This a “Green” thing as well as me not having to go out a buy bibs.  Since almost everyone has one laying around why not reuse it.  If you don’t have one that’s OK too.  I’ve been saving mine all year to use as extras.

This is a point-to-point race. Handicaps are based on recent race times and workout data. Ideally all participants will finish at the same time. (Large amounts of money are also a factor.)

The race will start at Hahamonga Watershed Park and ends at Millard Camp Ground. This is approximately a 4.2 mile race. The trail will be well marked with flower (for the environment), tape flags and people at critical turns.

I suggest that you park in the lot next to the baseball field in Hahamonga Watershed Park by 6:30 a.m. we then carpool up to the start. For directions click the "Directions" button on the menu.

There is a maximum of 75 runners.

The person with the longest anticipated time on the run leaves first till the person with the largest handicap leaves last.  For those who want to walk just let the starter know that you are leaving.

This is a multi event race. We start with the race, continental breakfast after race and a party in the afternoon. We will pass out directions after the race.

There is no entry fee! and No Late Entry Fee! Just a fun race on an enjoyable course.

THERE IS NO RACE DAY ENTRY - ALL ENTRANTS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED. There is a maximum of 75 runners.

Timing: Best to keep your own time, we will be calling out your time when you finish, it is up to you to write your time of the finish sheet.
